Leadership<>Strategy<>Customer Experience

Cooper is a natural leader at heart who thrives in customer facing situations. In his 6 years as an operator, founder and CEO he spent a majority of his time working with and for both his team as well as customers. He is someone who thrives in ambiguity and has a bias for actions, results and progress. Based in Austin, Texas - you can usually find him on a golf course, on the lake or cooking when he isn’t working. Cooper is a native of Chicago who graduated from Oklahoma State University. He was recently nominated and selected to Forbes 30u30 in 2023 in the Education sector.

Work He’s Proud Of

Most recently Cooper exited his software company that he started and ran for six years. In that time he worked with amazing people, partnered with some of the largest public institutions of higher education and built the company and its associated processes from the ground up. What he is most proud of in looking back on these six years is his ability to adapt, listen and learn. A majority of these learnings resulted in a positive impact for both the companies customers as well as the company itself.

A moment to call out specifically would be closing and then handling the entire customer relationship, at an enterprise grade level, with the University of Michigan. Cooper successfully implemented, trained and launched a student, staff and faculty facing platform to over 60,000 individuals. He did this ahead of schedule and executed the task in a successful fashion.

He led all many functions of the business including marketing, communications, customer experience and customer success. When it came to marketing he executed and managed multiple successful marketing campaigns, in person activations and branding. He served as the key customer contact as well as executive sponsor and key lead on all customer implementations and customer management. All of which were done ahead and schedule and led to ROI for each customer.

Beyond this his ability to fundraise, recruit and maintain the company’s viability during a time when the higher education space was essentially shut down (COVID) is something that he looks back upon with pride.

When it comes to fundraising specifically, he led the effort and relationship development that raised over $10MM from high net worth individuals, family offices and venture funds.
